When we talk about a vision many of us think of some supernatural dream or vision that a church member had or a visitation from an angel that told some secret that will happen some day way off in the future. This is not really realistic nor probable! It really for the church, is a plan or goal which should be in the works now which may be more of what we believe than some huge goal to come. For Janesville Apostolic Ministries our vision is easy, to preach and teach Jesus and for all our members to become all they can or would want to be in Christ Jesus.
We as an Apostolic Church have certain beliefs that we will never compromise such as the word of God is divinely inspired, not just parts of it but the entire 66 books, we also believe that Jesus the Christ is God manifest in the flesh (1Timothy 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”). We believe that you must be Born Again by the water and the Spirit (Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.“), we also believe a person must try follow unto Holiness (Hebrews 12:14, Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:“)
Acts 2:42, ” And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” We encourage all of our fellowship to not just meet once a week but to as best as they can try to attend the various functions that our church holds such as monthly prayer meetings, Home fellowship meetings, the many events we hold throughout the year. Now we know that things such as work, family, life can make it difficult to attend everything but we must remember that the early church met daily. We need fellowship, this world can really zap our strength and weaken our faith so we need to be built up and refreshed by each other, at least I do.
