We Have to Know

   By Pastor Mike

The Book of 1 John was a letter written to a lot of churches where John had apostolic responsibility. John needed to encourage the believers to know deep down what they once believed and not to walk away from the Truth. I encourage to read the whole book.

1 John

2:3-4 “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

3:5 “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.”

3:24 “Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”

5:19 “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”

5:20 “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

We, as believers, have to get a strong handle on the Truth so we can stand firm on the things of GOD and the WORD of GOD. Anything coming from GOD will be given to us because HE said so and we have to believe it and know it’s true. If you don’t know, it can bring doubt, and doubt will lead to fear and fear can bring unbelief and there goes our faith.

We gotta know in our hearts that it’s HIS WILL that the:

sick and hurting be healed – people be delivered – demons will be cast out – people to love one another and

people to be saved and stay saved

If we want to hear from GOD – we gotta say:   “THY KINGDOM COME, my kingdom go.”

If we want to hear HIM say “WELL DONE” (not medium rare). The only way to be well done is to stay on fire.

WE GOTTA KNOW: there’s Power in the NAME OF JESUS

Salvation     Strength     Healing     Deliverance      Peace      Comfort     Blessings     Love

Do you know you gotta repent of your sins

Do you know you gotta get baptized in JESUS name

Do you know you gotta get filled with the HOLY GHOST speaking in tongues

Today is the day of salvation.

WE MUST BE BORN OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT

Grace + Faith = Love

eph 2  By Pastor Jeff,

These two verses have been used countless times by churches to explain how to obtains ones salvation. But we need to remind ourselves that this book written by Apostle Paul is being written to a people that already have obtained the Born Again experience by repenting of their sins, being baptized in Jesus Name, and having received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

I want to give some clarification so that we may see these verses in its proper contents. Grace has defined by many as being the unmerited favor of God, it is given to us no matter what we do, and all we have to do is accept it. When Peter speaking about how the Gentiles received the same experience as them, he said in Acts 15:11, “But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.”

This Grace does not give us freedom to sin, but gives us the power to not enter into sin, James 4:6-7, “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  We thank God for grace, but we need to understand that it is not rare nor is it just for Christians. Ephesians 4:7, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”  Titus 2:11,  “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”

The next part I want to talk of is “Faith” and this the bible is pretty clear on its explanation for in Hebrews 11:1-3, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”  Faith is what empowers us to accept the grace of Jesus Christ in our lives, for when you read the eleventh chapter of Hebrews you will notice that these men and women of faith did not just believe with no action, but in every instance acted on what God told them. James 2:29, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

To have faith does not mean we have blind faith in what God says, we have 66 love letters written to us to tell us how sin came into the world, how one cannot redeem one selves but we need to trust in our Lord Jesus Christ and what He told us to do to be saved. By Faith in God’s grace we can accept His love for us and what He did for us on Calvary. We become a “Whosoever” as mentioned in John 3:16.  By this Faith in His wonderful Grace we obtain our salvation by repenting of our sins, being baptized in the precious name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins and then we receive His Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.

That’s Grace + Faith = Love and not works, and when we understand the love Jesus has for us, the grace He has given us, and the faith we can walk in, nothing will ever be to hard for Us!

Search Me

searchmeogod By Pastor Mike

Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

There’s scripture that asks JESUS to search our hearts. JESUS can see what’s in our hearts, mind, soul and spirit. HE knows our thoughts. Things we give the highest priority in our lives will be what’s in our heart. What you always put before your eyes will be in your heart. Things you listen to will be in your hearts. Things you read will be in your heart. If you’re asking JESUS to search your heart then get ready. There might be some changes coming.

Jeremiah 17:9-10

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?  I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

JESUS knows what’s in our hearts. When you follow HIM and get born of the water and the Spirit, you will get a new heart. He’ll remove the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh. A heart that wants to be like JESUS. That loves like HE does. That cares like HE does.

Do you realize the most precious thing you possess is your Salvation. It is more precious than anything else you will ever have.

Mark 8:36

“What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

God is looking at the soul, at the heart, at the real you. This is what really matters: is my heart right with God? If it is, that’s what matters. If you feel yourself getting complacent with your walk with God, all you have to do is light yourself back on fire for JESUS. Get someone to help you if that gets you back on fire for HIM.

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”

The old saying, don’t judge a book by its cover. Look in someone’s eyes and you’ll see that’s the window to their soul. You’ll see how people are, not by the outward but by the way they treat people. The way they act towards others.

I wanna end with this scripture.

Numbers 6:24-26

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

Get a Bigger Box

hqdefault

By Pastor Jeff

Luke 17:1-6, ” Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”

I find it very interesting that in the middle of a sermon on forgiveness that his disciples ask Jesus to “increase their faith”, but it is something that every one of us have asked at times. We like to think that we never have and we will never put God in a box, but in reality we all are guilty of doing just that. When it comes to faith we all are given a measure of it according to Romans 12:3. I thank God that it does not take a lot of faith to obtain salvation, all we have to do is obey Acts 2:38, ” Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

That can be a small box, now don’t believe that just because it’s a small box that it is of no value, can you think of something very valuable that comes in a very small box. Salvation is beyond any value we can place on it but once we have received salvation it is God’s desire for us to grow in faith in His word and in Him. The great thing is that Jesus wants us to  get a bigger box as well. In the two events of the multiplying of the fish and loaves we can see this. In the first one the disciples come to Jesus telling Him to send the people away because they could not provide enough food to feed them all, (Mark 6:32-43) and in the chapter 8 we see a similar event in which Jesus comes to them and asked the question to see if they had learned anything from the first event. I wish we would have seen this event occur third time for I’m sure the faith of the disciples would have been to the point that they would have just had the people seated with plates, forks and napkins.

We need to get bigger boxes or at the very least open the top so our faith can be expanded for whenever we believe that a situation is to big for God we are shutting Him in a box or putting God in smaller box. When we are not sure we can receive our healing, when we don’t believe He can help us in our provision, when we can’t shake an addiction, when we have family issues we are putting God in a box.

Natalie Grant has recently released a song that is very powerful called, “king of the World” and I encourage you to listen to it, for one verse says, “I try to put You in the box that I’ve designed” which really describes how we treat our faith in God. Let’s bust the box or at least imagine a box that contains the entire Universe, for its time for miracles to happen in your life that will transform your life forever, remember for in the beginning God just had to speak and it became, do you think His power has shrunk since then?

Tomorrow Might Not Come

57f1282c433e89bfe28516a320e1806d  By Pastor Mike

I remember as a kid when I was supposed to do chore but I wanted to go play, I would tell my parents that I would do it tomorrow. My Dad told me that tomorrow never comes. As a kid I would think that yea, I go to bed tonight and when I wake up it would be…… today. I also figured out that if you put off something til tomorrow, something else always seems to get in the way or we give it a higher priority. I wanna talk today about putting off our salvation or our time with JESUS or our witnessing til tomorrow.

2 Corinthians 6:2

“ (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”

If you need to repent, right now. If you need to get Baptized, right now. If you need the Holy Ghost, Receive it right now in the Name of JESUS. No more excuses.

Joshua 24:15

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Today is the day of salvation not tomorrow. Tomorrow might not come. There has to be no more excuses. We chose each day whom we will serve. I chose JESUS. Who do you serve? Go with the Champion. Go with the one who Loves you and cares for you and has prepared a place for us in heaven. It’s so exciting to live for JESUS because of who HE is. HE is our best friend. The lover of our souls. Our provider. Our comforter. Our peace. Our healer. HE gives us Mercy and Grace. Are we getting it? Spend time with HIM today. Get to know HIM better today. Let HIM know you better today.  JESUS is opening doors for us share the Gospel all the time. Let’s do it today. No one knows about tomorrow. Today is the day.

Matthew 18:3-4

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

John 3:5

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

These scriptures are very powerful. If you don’t do what it says in them then you won’t enter into the kingdom of GOD.

God’s Benefits

object000_5

By Pastor Jeff,

Everybody appreciates a job that gives you a benefit package especially one that covers health insurance these days. It has been said that someone has calculated the benefits in the bible and has counted 3573 promises, another person says it’s 5467, and even another has said 31,173 promises or in other words every verse in the bible. I will just share a few of them here as God tells us Psalms 68:19, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.”

Salvation is one that is the most easy to see as John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” With that comes a place reserved in heaven for us, John 14:1-3, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” What an awesome benefit for knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Philippians 4:7 tells also that we receive peace that passeth all understanding, 1Peter 1:8 tells us joy unspeakable, and 1Peter 1:18-19 tells us how valuable we are to Him that he purchased us with His own precious blood! 1 John 2:1 tells us that He is our advocate, Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5 says that He will never leave us nor forsake us! We receive our healing by His stripes in Isaiah 53:4-5 and we receive supernatural power after we receive the precious Baptism of the Holy Ghost, Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

These are all awesome benefits and there is another one we don’t think about much that is very important to me; it’s what King David said in Psalms 38:4, “For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.” Sin is a horrible burden for us to bear and unfortunately even after we have has our sins remitted in the waters of Baptism in Jesus name sometimes because of tradition and church teaching we often allow mans convictions, misinterpretation of the bible to shame and humiliate us. Jesus has freed us not only from our past sins, but also the present and our future mistakes and thank God He does. Because no matter hard our try I still do stupid, but Jesus came to give us a way out from the burden of sin, Matthew 11:28-30, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” He indeed loads us down with Benefits!

How God Feels About You

jesus-hugging-man-in-heaven-clouds-god-hands By Pastor Mike

This is something we really need to know. How does GOD feel about us. I remember growing up and thinking GOD was mean and never gave me anything I wanted. Never realizing that HE will supply all of our needs. Things I wanted was not things I really needed. There’s still tons of people that don’t know how JESUS feels about them. They still get mad when they don’t get their way. They don’t understand the Love JESUS has for them. That’s our job to tell people about JESUS.

See, JESUS shows us in HIS Word and in life all about GOD’S Power and HIS passion for the lost. When HE died and rose again HE was telling us that HE cares about us. I could end this sermon about how GOD feels about us with one scripture. I’ll give you the scripture.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

People still feel that if they mess up and do something they think will make GOD mad, that JESUS is gonna punish them. That’s the way I used to think. There’s too many people still thinking that way. We serve a GOD that was with us when we went to the bars and the drug houses and other places we shouldn’t be. HE is with us now when we do anything in our lives. We can’t hide nothing from JESUS. Wherever you are, HE is right there.

We need to understand and help others understand that JESUS loves them and cares about them. HE loves and cares for everybody. That’s how GOD feels about you. That’s what we have to show to people and not just tell them about it. Showing JESUS to people is a lot more powerful than telling them. Actions do speak louder than words. But I’m also saying that telling them even after they JESUS in you is powerful. There’s a lot of people who never been to church. They don’t know JESUS. Remember back in the day when almost everyone went to church somewhere. Places were closed on Sundays.

Let’s go to Luke 15 Starting at verse 1.

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

That’s talking about one sinner coming to repentance and coming to JESUS. We should rejoice when someone comes to JESUS and repents and gets Baptized in JESUS Name and gets filled with the Holy Ghost. Today is the day of salvation. No excuses.

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Again it talks here about the lost being found. Please read.

11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

We were once lost but now we are found. JESUS holds us in HIS arms because HE cares for us. Don’t listen to devil and his lies. JESUS loves everybody. HE died for everybody. HE cares about us.

25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

See, this son was always there and could have enjoyed all the Blessings that were there. JESUS wants us to build that relationship with HIM and enjoy all the Blessings HE gives us and HE gives us a lot of Blessings. Are we Blessed today?

You have a shepherd who lost a sheep, searched and found it. Brought it back and everyone rejoiced. The sheep can’t chose to return because it’s an ignorant animal.

A woman lost a coin, searched for it, found it and rejoiced. The coin is just an object so it can’t chose anything.

A dad who lost a son because of self-will. He doesn’t go searching for the boy, he stays home waiting every day to see if his son will return home. The dad didn’t looking for the boy because the boy chose to leave. When we choose to leave JESUS even for a short period of time, HE is right there waiting for us to return to HIM. It’s our choice to leave JESUS and to return to HIM.

Always remember that JESUS gives us everything we need. HE gives us breathe, life, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, food clothing, and shelter among many other things.

Lots of people think they are unworthy to be loved by JESUS. That they are not good enough. We need to understand that GOD don’t make no junk. The devil lies to us and tells us we have no value. That we are no good to anyone. That we are garbage.

We have a GOD that says HE is the world’s recycling plant. We have so much value to HIM that we are the reason for the cross. HE will never dump us aside. JESUS takes what the world calls trash and makes us treasures. HE makes us whole and makes us count. HE shed HIS Blood and paid the price for us to be HIS. JESUS has never, never, never, ever stopped loving us. That should make us rejoice. That’s how GOD feels about us.

Luke 19:10

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
