Answered Prayer

  By Pastor Mike

We are truly walking miracles. We know people who have beat diseases. Someone who received a new heart. Healed of carpel tunnel. Someone who was able to walk and talk after a major stroke even though doctors said he wouldn’t. Those are all miracles. When GOD answers prayers we need to thank HIM for the miracles in our lives and in the lives of others we know.

Matthew 7:7-8Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

Mark 11:20-24 “And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Look at all the miracles in the Bible. The healing miracles. JESUS healed the blind, the deaf, the lame. He healed the lepers and cast out demons. People came back from the dead. The control HE had over storms. Walking on water. Feeding the multitudes. Healing the woman with the issue of blood.

I will never leave JESUS or never stop loving HIM or stop spending time with HIM. Whatever we go through lets always remember JESUS. We should always Praise HIM.

Psalm 150

Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Praise HIM

  By Pastor Mike

According to Bible Gateway, the words “praise the LORD” is found 124 times in the Bible. The word praise is found 259 times.  It’s great that we can praise the KING of kings and the LORD of lords

Psalm 9:1-2

9 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

According to scripture we all should be praising the LORD for all HE has done and all HE brought us out of. Always remember that JESUS is always there to help us get through everything in life. Sometimes HE calms the storm and sometimes HE calms us while we go through the storm.

I know sometimes it’s not easy to praise HIM but remember that as born again believers there will be no more storms; we will be in Heaven forever. How AWESOME is that. We will always stand on HIS plan of salvation we find in Acts 2:38. It’s about repenting of your sins, get Baptized in JESUS name for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST.

We will always stand on the Truth because that’s what makes us free from everything that’s not of GOD.

How AWESOME it is to praise HIM because HE’s the only one that’s worthy of it.

We are so thankful and so Blessed living for JESUS.

Psalm 18:2-3

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 86:11-13

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

We have breath, we should praise the LORD. We praise HIM for HIS Mercy, HIS Grace, HIS Love, HIS healings, HIS comfort, HIS Peace, HIS Salvation, HIS Deliverance, HIS Provisions. Even if your days are going smooth and easy, Praise HIM for that. True Praise is hard to contain. Praise lifts our spirits. Praise refocuses our thinking and puts it on JESUS.

The Heart of God

By Pastor Jeff,

We hear people say that they want the mind of Christ in helping them to make decisions in their lives and yes, we should seek that.
But today I want to talk about the “Heart of God”

The heart is the key organ in the circulatory system. As a hollow, muscular pump, its main function is to propel blood throughout the body. It usually beats from 60 to 100 times per minute, but can go much faster when necessary. It beats about 100,000 times a day, more than 30 million times per year, and about 2.5 billion times in a 70-year lifetime. With each heartbeat, blood is sent throughout our bodies, carrying oxygen and nutrients to every cell. Every day, the approximately 10 pints (5 liters) of blood in your body travel many times through about 60,000 miles (96,560 kilometers) of blood vessels that branch and cross, linking the cells of our organs and body parts.

But the heart can mean other things other than this organ that beats within our chest today, it can mean our center, character, courage, emotion empathy, essence, feeling, kindness, love, mood, etc.
In the bible the word “heart”, occurs over one thousand times, making it the most common anthropological (study of humankind) term in the Scripture. It mostly refers to the heart figuratively. Some examples:
Psalms 4:7 says. “Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.”
Psalms 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” The bible tells us what comes out of it Mark 7:21-23, “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”

Despite of trying to portray as some kind of tough guy, I always been kind of a feeler, even though I try to hide it, I often find this 230 lbs of solid muscle crying at not only movies, but commercials, or touchy quotes.                                                                                   I think that was the type of man that God wants in all of us but it really is bared out in when Israel decided it wanted a King to rule them and not just God, after Samuel anointed the first King Saul it didn’t take long for Saul to mess things up and when Saul disobeyed God at Gilgal, this is what Samuel had to tell him.
1 Samuel 13:13-14, “And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.” That was the type of man that God wanted Samuel to anoint to be the next King, 1 Samuel 16:7, “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”

Who was that man? Acts 13:21-23, “And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:”

A man after the heart of God, what a great title to have! So, what is the Heart of God? John 3:16 makes it clear what God’s heart is, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

There are many more scriptures than I could share on how we need to seek the heart of God, but I will give you just a few,
Psalms 38:8-10, “I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.”
Psalms 111:1, “Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.”
Psalms 51:15-17, “O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite (to collapse) heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” I saved the best for last for there are many benefits from seeking and having the heart of God, Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

I Long for knowing Jesus Christ in every possible way I can, I want the Heart of God, how about you?

Still the Season

   By Pastor Mike

Today is still the season to celebrate JESUS and all HE has done for everyone. HE still loves us the same. HE ‘s still pouring out HIS SPIRIT to anyone who wants to receive it. We should always be celebrating JESUS and all that HE’S done for us. HE will never stop on HIS promises because HE is the same yesterday, today and forever. JESUS never changes.

Never confess or focus on “I can’t,” because the Word says: “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

Never confess or focus on fear, because the Word says: “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Never confess or focus on weakness, because the Word says: “The Lord is the strength of My life” (Psalm 27:1) and “The people that know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.” (Daniel 11:32)

Never confess or focus on sickness, because the Word says: “With His stripes I am healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) and Jesus “Himself took my infirmities and bore my sickness.” (Matthew 8:17)

Mat 28:18 All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth

Luke 9:1 Then he called his 12 disciples together and gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases.

If you have the Holy Ghost you have the ability to Generate Power. While you’re sitting around waiting for GOD to send the power HE’s waiting for you to KICK up the power that’s already inside you.
When you pray you generate power. When you fast you generate power. When you praise and worship God you generate power. When you speak in tongues you generate power. When you sow seeds you generate power. When you dance for JESUS you generate power. When you show the love of JESUS you generate power.

With this JESUS power we need people who are serious about seeing our children saved and serving GOD. People that are serious about seeing the drug addict, the alcoholic, any addiction get that desire removed out of their lives, delivered and set free. See the cripples walk and the blind eyes opened and the deaf to hear and marriages healed and broken families restored.

Let’s start praising GOD for our children, praise HIM for deliverance for those addicted, praise HIM for restoration and healing of marriages. Lift up your voice and start pulling down strongholds, you’ve got the power, greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world.

You’ve got the greatest power company inside of you, let it out let those rivers of healing and deliverance flow, let those rivers of miracles flow. You’ve got the power.

JESUS is still the reason for this season and every second of our lives. Let’s celebrate JESUS.

Dance before the Lord!

snoopy       By Pastor Jeff

My favorite cartoon when I was growing up was the “Peanuts” and my favorite character was of course Snoopy, he was so care free and I loved it when he would look up in the sky and dance with all his might.                                                    Psalms 150, “Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

It’s kinda funny that when we hear this scripture quoted many times  we talk about worship but we seem to ignore the verse that tells us to “praise him with the timbrel and dance”. Anybody who has danced either for fun or professionally is well aware of how physically demanding dancing can be, but doing it for the Lord are you crazy?

The church I was attending when I received and obeyed the salvation message was probably what most people would call radical in its worship. People would react in all kinds away to the worship, some would jump, run, clap, raise their hands and God forbid some would dance. Many times as the music would speed up I would feel a sensation come over me and find my feet start to move and I would do what any normal Christian would do, I grabbed hold of the pew in front of me until the music would stop, after all, I was not going to make a fool out of myself before hundreds of people.

But on one occasion a group came from the Indiana Bible college to lead us in worship and I said to myself that I would finally let go of that pew if they would play a certain song. Well you know what? yes they began to play that song (and no, I don’t remember what song it was). As soon as I took that step out into the aisle the Spirit of the living God fell on me, I found myself going from one end of the front of the church to the other dancing backwards, and never ran into another person, Praise God!

Many times after this event I found myself out dancing as hard as I could before the Lord, not caring who thought it was foolish or how much it was going to cost to have my suit dry cleaned. But sadly  over the years I found myself attending other churches that even though it was not openly spoken against you could feel it was not exactly encouraged either. Privately I occasionally gave into that feeling of being free to do whatever I wanted and danced before the Lord, but I confess I no longer want to dance privately. It must be the same feeling that King David had when the Israelites were bringing the Ark into the city. The bible tells us he took off his kingly robes and jumped and danced before the ark not caring what anyone else, even his wife thought of it. The word of God declares that we have been made free and that we are to praise Him in the dance. Don’t let others cause you to lose out before God, we are free indeed! So lets kick off our shoes and rejoice before our King, King Jesus!
