Simple

   By Pastor Mike

The WORD of GOD is the greatest Book ever written. It is the greatest love story ever written. I wonder why our kids can’t read the Bible in school but they can read it in prison. They have a Bible people swear on in court to tell the whole truth but they can’t display the 10 commandments like they used to. The Bible isn’t a hard Book to follow.

You need to repent of your sins and turn away from them. Not just say sorry. We need to stop doing what we know is wrong. We need to stay on the narrow path to Heaven. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The road to Heaven is paved with obedience.

Then you need to get Baptized in the Name of JESUS.

Matthew 28:19

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The word name here is singular which means the name to be Baptized in is the name of JESUS. The name of the Father is JESUS. The name of the Son is JESUS. The name of the Holy Ghost is JESUS. Everyone that was Baptized in the Book of Acts was Baptized in the name of our LORD JESUS. If you need to be Baptized, you need to be Baptized in the name of JESUS.

You shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST. It’s a free gift. It’s yours if you want it. As you receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST you will speak in tongues. Speaking out loud is the key here. JESUS wants to take control of your tongue because it is the most unruly thing we got. We need to speak to the LORD and HE will take over and you will speak in another language. It’s for today. Whatever happened in the Bible back then is for us today. All of it. You gotta believe all of it.

John 1:1,14

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 14:9

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

Philip asks to see the Father and JESUS tells him that we been together how long? You’ve seen all the miracles that I did. You’ve seen me forgive people from their sins. If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father. JESUS means that I AM THE FATHER.

Luke 11:23

23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

See, it’s very simple. Either you’re for JESUS or you’re against HIM. If you’re against JESUS that means you’re either for yourself or for the enemy. Either way you’re gonna lose. I chose to be with JESUS. I wanna gather with JESUS, meaning spending time with HIM. People who don’t hang with JESUS scatters all over the place meaning they will fall for anything the devil throws at them.  We need to understand that if we look to the devil we will be oppressed. If we look to ourselves we will be depressed. If we look to GOD we will be BLESSED.

The Word is Quick and Sharp!

Sword Of The Spirit

By Pastor Jeff,

Hebrews 4:11-12, “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The word of God, I will never apologize about speaking of how important it is for us believers to fall in love with the bible and to continue to devour it. Again, I stand before you and tell you that we have to abandon the old way that many of us have been brought up of taking one verse in the bible, memorize it sometimes, then make a doctrine of it.

In this chapter the writer is talking to us  about rest, for in this world rest is something that is very difficult to obtain we are so busy going to and fro that we miss opportunities to receive the rest that comes from Jesus Christ.

The word of God is quick and powerful, literally the bible is life and active, John 10:7-11, “Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

Its sharper than any two-edged sword, “any” not some, not most, “any, all” Ephesians 6:17, “…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” I ask you does this sword no matter how sharp it is serve any purpose if it is just sitting on a mantel as a decoration?

Piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow. Wow, that is deep! Can any of us see the soul? The spirit? How about the joints and marrow? Its so quick, so powerful, so sharp that it penetrates deep within the heart and soul of man, you may not see the effects of it but,
Isaiah 55:8-11, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Mouth in the Hebrew is two-edged interesting isn’t it?

Don’t ever stop sharing the word of God, we have so much technology today that is being used to share negativity, and please don’t take this wrong, recipes, pictures of our pets are not bad things, but Let’s flood it with the word of God, you don’t know where and who the mighty two-edged sword will strike!

And is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Psalms 119:9-11, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Hid, to hoard or reserve; to protect, esteem, lay up, (keep) secret (-ly, place).
2 Timothy 3,  Tells us about a day that will become so evil that it be will difficult to see any good in the world, the Apostle Paul then tells us, in verses 14-17, But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

The word of God needs to be precious to us believers and never be taken for granted! We must do everything we can to get the word of God out to this lost and dying world!

Relationship with Jesus

why Jesus died By Pastor Mike

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Matthew 6:33

We not only need to have a relationship with JESUS, we get to have one with HIM. HE knows everything about us and HE wants us to know HIM just as intimately. The only way to have a strong relationship is to spend quality time together.  The stronger the relationship, the stronger your faith becomes because HE will show you things and use you for HIS Kingdom and for HIS Glory.

The more you know JESUS the more obedient you want to be to HIM. Obedience to JESUS matters because it is only through obedience that we grow in personal knowledge of JESUS and who HE is. By being obedient and studying HIS Word (Bible) and spending time in prayer is crucial in developing a strong relationship with HIM.

We need to understand how much we need JESUS to take care of us, love us, lead us, forgive us, and give us HIS grace and Mercy. We need JESUS to be with us every step we take and every breath we make. You will see a difference in a positive way when you focus and rely on JESUS for decisions in your life. You will realize HE will never leave you or forsake you. HE is closer than a brother and right there at the mention of HIS NAME. How much better your life will be with JESUS in it. Stay focused on JESUS.

Fresh Start

images[5]  2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

by Pastor Mike

It’s been two months since we closed out 2014. The LORD has been moving mightily in the church as a whole and in individuals. It’s great to see people giving their lives over to JESUS CHRIST. The LORD has been speaking to me about how 2015 is going to be a powerful year for HIS church. We need to be ready as a body of believers to be used by JESUS to reach the lost for HIS Kingdom. If we’re not ready, maybe we need a fresh start.

We need to let the past go and keep looking forward and focus on JESUS. To get a fresh start we need to stop making excuses on why we don’t go to church, why we don’t pray, why we don’t read the Bible more. We also need to change our focus from any trial or situation we’re going through and put it on the ONE who will get us through any storm or any valley we’re going through and HIS Name is JESUS. Another very important thing we must do is put all our trust in JESUS. HE will get us through anything in our lives. HE always stands on HIS promises. Read the WORD of GOD and you can see all HIS promises. HE will never let you down.
