Christmas

Let me begin by saying, we see many people spelling Christmas, ”X-mas.” Many do this unaware that the letter “X” is from the Greek letter “chi” which means Christ or Christo’s. The problem is that not only do most people not know what this means and it also can mean many other things as well such as a movie rating or unknown quantity. I want people to know the reason I celebrate the season and the most important part of Christmas is ”Christ.” Let’s leave the ”X” out and Christ in.

Is it just me but it seems that not long ago people were a lot nicer and friendlier this time of year. Now it seems people are not as friendly or nice anymore. I understand that a lot of bad things are going on in the world today. But we gotta understand that JESUS is the reason we celebrate Christmas – it is all about HIM. It is about HIS birth and why HE came here. HE came to be the Savior of a lost and dying world. JESUS came for sinners. It’s not about shoving people out of the way to buy something. Or to get angry about not getting stuff. It’s a time to think about what this birth means to us.

In Luke 19:10, the Bible says, ”For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

That’s what it’s all about. How much HE loves us.

We are strong Christians and we should be fed up with public celebrations that are taking Christ out of Christmas, and believe that our faith is under attack. It’s gotta be up to us to bring back CHRIST in Christmas. We can’t let people forget about HIM.

JESUS is the reason for every season. I’m excited to have JESUS as my best friend ever. HE is always there for me. HE always leads me in the right path. HE brings so much joy in my life. HE makes me wanna tell people about HIM because of what HE’S done for me and for others. HE’S the best thing that has ever happened in my life.

When Mary came to Bethlehem to give birth to the baby JESUS, the Bible says there was ”no room for them in the inn.” Not much has changed. But thank GOD, that we who love HIM have a place for HIM in our hearts. Never be ashamed of the Gospel. We are strong in JESUS. No sissies allowed. Are you making room for JESUS in your life in every situation?

Isaiah 9:6

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Always remember who JESUS and why HE came here and always put HIM first in your life. HE will always take care of you.
