Remember the old saying. Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me? Well that’s a lie. If you call someone names, it does hurt them. Ever been called a name? It hurts more when it comes from a family member or from someone you thought liked you. It doesn’t even have to be a name your called. When we feel we have to judge someone on how they look or what they say, that can hurt too. So, be very careful what you say. Another old saying goes. Think before you speak.
Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Proverbs 21:23
“Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”
Abraham Lincoln said, “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
There’s something about speaking out the positive and speaking out the Victory in JESUS Name. If your speaking out the negative, don’t be surprised when negative things happen in your life. Things in your home, your work, your marriage, your relationships.
As we speak out the things of GOD, don’t use that 3 letter word after you claim the things of the LORD. That word is “BUT”. I’m not getting sick “BUT”. I’m not gonna get depressed “BUT”. I’m gonna get that job “BUT”. I’m gonna claim the Victory “BUT”. We should be super confident in what the Word of GOD says and Pray it and Believe it. The Bible is full of the Truth.
It says that by HIS stripes we are healed. Healed in everything in our lives. That’s physical, spiritual, financial, mentally. Healed from any addictions. Healed from our past. We also are forgiven from our sins. We are loved by the creator of all things. We are gonna live forever with JESUS. HE’S preparing a mansion for us now. HE is right there at the mention of HIS Name. HE will never leave us nor forsake us. HE died and rose again so we can live forever in Heaven with HIM. Read the book it’s all in there and it’s all true. JESUS don’t lie. If HE said it, it will happen. Don’t ever be afraid to speak it
We need to read and study the WORD so we can speak it out to the enemy when we get tempted. Study and memorize the scriptures that will help you speak it to the enemy when he tempts you. He will continue to tempt you. He knows what our weaknesses are and he’ll use that to tempt us. BUT, if we’re ready to speak out the WORD to him and tell him to get lost, he will. He ain’t staying where the word is spoken. He knows the Word and he hates the Word. You can’t fool GOD. You can’t hide from HIM either.
Philippians 2:10-11
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
