Can you hear the trumpet? As we see the prophetic words from the bible being fulfilled right before our very eyes I can’t help to be excited and declare that the sound of a trumpet will be heard soon. 1Thessalonians 4:13-18, “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
Matthew chapter 24 gives us a discourse on what the world would look like close to His return, verses 37-38 tell us, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark”
USDA’s Economic Research Service estimates total US food expenditures for all food consumed was $1.24trillion in 2010, Food purchased for the home accounted for $646.8 billion or 52%.Spending away from home in 2010 was $594 billion or 48%, restaurant account for ¾ of all food away from home sales. The US has 970,000 restaurants and foodservice outlets. Projected sales for 2012 were $632 billion up from $379 billion in 2000.
Nearly 88,000 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making it the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States. In 2013, alcohol-impaired driving fatalities accounted for 10,076 deaths (30.8 percent of overall driving fatalities).
Divorce happens to nearly one half of all marriages in the U.S. but statistics also tell us that most young people are not even attempting marriage. A recent report says that marriage among white males is 44%, woman 51%, for black men it is at 32% and women 26%. Number of live births to unmarried women: 1,595,873 the birth rate for unmarried women: 44.3 births per 1,000 unmarried women aged 15-44 years. Scripture tells us this will occur in the latter days 1Timothy 4:3 says, “Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
The cause for all of this? well the bible in 2Timothy 4:3-4 tells us why, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” Most polls tells us that belief in God, Jesus, miracles, the word of God are continuing to drop by alarming numbers; we are more governed on what we feel is right than “what sayeth the Lord”. We have former president Jimmy Carter telling us that he thinks Jesus would say gay marriage is ok, we have a transvestite being honoured for his courage. We can argue how we feel in our hearts what is right and wrong until we are blue in the face but it all boils down to me, to what does the bible say. Can you hear the trumpet?
