The Presence of the LORD

 By Pastor Mike

We all need to realize that the presence of JESUS is everywhere at the same time. People wonder “How can this be?” Because HE is GOD Almighty.

Definition of omnipotent:

one who has unlimited power or authority

Definition of omniscient

1 : having infinite awareness, understanding, and insight

2 : possessed of universal or complete knowledge the omniscient God

Definition of omnipresent:

present in all places at all times

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

Whatever troubles or trials you’re having. Whatever valleys you’re in. The presence of the LORD is right there to get you through anything and everything. We have to believe that because it’s in HIS WORD. HE is always with us and HE is in us. We need to expect HIM to get us through it because HE is a great GOD.

Psalm 95:1-3

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

HE is a great GOD. We are in HIS presence right now and in HIS presence when we leave here. When we get in the car. When we get home. When we are at work. When we are at the stores.

Psalm 139:7-10

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?  If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

You can never hide from JESUS. HE knows where we are, what we say, what we think. People think that they can hide things from their friends or spouses. Maybe they can but you can’t hide from GOD. That’s not a bad thing. That just makes me want to the best I can and live a Holy life pleasing to HIM. I mess up but I run right back into HIS loving arms. HE will never condemn us. Maybe our family and friends will, but JESUS never will.

Romans 8:1-2

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Have You Been with JESUS

beenwithjesuslately   By Pastor Mike

I want you to ask yourself and be honest and think about it. Have you been with JESUS since last Sunday. I mean really spent time with HIM. Do you make it a point to be with HIM every day? If you’re walking down the street and JESUS was across the street walking towards you. Would HE wave to you because HE knows you or would HE come across the street to witness to you. We can and we get to spend time with JESUS. We just have to make the time. I’m here to encourage all of us to hang out with JESUS. This way we can make what happened in the Bible the normal way of life.

Acts 4:13

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”

When people look at you, can they tell that you been with JESUS?

In the eyes of many people back in the day, JESUS was not the Messiah they were hoping for. Pilate washed his hands of him. The Pharisees were glad to get rid of him. The people didn’t care anymore.

But when Peter and John came to town, it didn’t take long for people to realize that “they had been with JESUS.” When you got around these men you could feel the presence of JESUS. Can you feel HIS presence now and in your home?

When you hang with JESUS and see what HE’S about, you’ll have compassion on people like HE does.

Remember Peter and John were going to the temple to pray and saw this man at the gate begging for money. Peter told him to look in his eyes then said “Silver and gold have I none but such as I have I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk”.

Satan has hijacked thousands of people so their lives would crash and burn. We need to rescue the lost before it’s too late. Give them the Hope in JESUS. Where can we get the courage to lead people out of darkness and show them the light? By spending time with JESUS.

We need to be 100% sold out to JESUS. We need to be committed to HIM. We can’t let anything get in the way of our time with JESUS. There should be nothing that means more to us than JESUS.

If you have ever truly met JESUS; if you have ever really been with JESUS; you will have to say what these disciples said, “We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

Peter and John were not only committed to preaching about Jesus. They were also committed to pleasing JESUS. They didn’t care about pleasing men. All they cared about was pleasing God.

Acts 5:28-29

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

We should be so close to Jesus that we always strive to please Him and not man. How can you tell if someone has been with Jesus? If we have compassion, courage, and a commitment to JESUS, then you can tell that someone been with JESUS. We should have such a close relationship with our LORD that when others see us, they can tell that we have been with JESUS.
